I bet you guys didn't know that there was an Orlando goaltending scramble yesterday.

This is how it happened. Over the weekend Jonathan Bernier was injured in an undisclosed bedroom incident [Species added that! OMG. - Acha]. James Reimer took over for him in net, and then Antoine Bibeau was recalled from the Marlies to backup Reimer. Garret Sparks took the starting job for the Marlies, and Solar Bears starter Rob Madore was recalled from the Solar Bears to back him up.

With Madore gone, Ryan Massa took over in Solar Bears net. But who backs up the third tier? EBUG (Emergency Backup Goaltender) does! Yesterday, a guy who works at the local practice rink got signed on an EBUG contract. Everybody welcome RDV Sportsplex goaltender Bobby Fowler to the system.

Fowler has actually been an ECHL backup goaltender for a few years, and he's garnered the Bears an overtime point in a preseason game against the Florida Everblades, so he's been tested before. It looks like Orlando was prepared for just such an event.
