For most of these players, it took all four years of major junior hockey before they finally won it all together as a team. Two years ago they were knocked out of the first round in the OHL Playoffs. Last year they won the OHL championship but lost in the Memorial Cup Final game. Last night, they finally went all the way.

Easton Cowan scored the tournament-winning goal as London trounced the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-1 on Sunday night in Rimouski. Cowan finished tied with Denver Barkey, his teammate and captain, with seven points to lead the tournament. Cowan also won tournament MVP. When London won the Mem Cup back in 2016, you wouldn't be surprised to know Mitch Marner led the tournament in points and won the MVP.

London Knights claims third Memorial Cup title with dominant victory over Medicine Hat Tigers | TSN
The London Knights are Memorial Cup champions for a third time. Denver Barkey scored twice, Sam Dickinson had three assists and Austin Elliott made 31 saves in a dominant 4-1 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in the championship game Sunday.
Cowan racked up 15 career points in nine games at the past two Memorial Cups — the same total as Marner — and became the first player in history to lead the event in scoring back-to-back years. He leaves the OHL second all-time in playoff points (96), and was also named the playoff MVP in 2024 and 2025. The 20-year-old had 29 goals and 69 points during 46 regular-season games, but his best offensive year came in '23 when he scored 34 goals and had 96 points in 54 games.

It's all ready to go, the first profile will be coming out this morning. If you're in early, have a look at the introduction, followed by Cathy's Drafting Manifesto.

2025 NHL Draft Profiles: An Introduction
Tomorrow I start my annual tradition of writing way too many words on several prospects that will very likely not be drafted by the Leafs. Let’s establish my process and list what I have to come.
