It’s already Thursday!

September is a great month, as the rookie tournament is set to get underway this month, and Toronto’s preseason starts in less than two weeks. In addition, plenty of future hall of famers from the Leafs roster have a September birthday, including John Tavares, Patrick Marleau, Auston Matthews, and Eamon McAdam.

There should really be a Mount Rushmore type of sculpture outside of Scotiabank Arena. Here are today’s links:

John Tavares, Toronto’s New Lines, and the Impact of the Matchup Game- Kevin Papetti

AHL Launches New AHLTV Streaming Platform- TheAHL.com

Watching Timothy Liljegren and the Toronto Marlies will finally be more affordable this year. You can watch every Marlies game for $60 USD, or every game in the whole league for $80 USD. Home games are typically on Leafs TV, so you could also elect to buy the away game package for $40 USD.

I am excited to watch Liljegren take on a bigger role this year, and I expect Jeremy Bracco to take a major step forward. Carl Grundstrom, Adam Brooks, and Trevor Moore are my other favourite players to watch. This was incredibly expensive last season, so thank goodness the league sorted this out.

David Krejci was bothered by Bruins’ pursuit of John Tavares- Mike Johnston, Sportsnet

Luckily for Krejci, the Bruins *checks notes* did not sign John Tavares. In fact, I have heard from multiple sources that the Toronto Maple Leafs signed Tavares. If Krecji doesn’t want his team to interview with Tavares, he should sign with the Montreal Canadiens the next time that he’s a free agent.

Enjoy your day.
