New North American sports franchises list has come out. The Toronto Raptors are now valued to be $1.2 billion more than the Toronto Maple Leafs. While this is all value for MLSE, I think it should come as no shock the Raptors are a huge franchise, and in fact the eighth most valuable franchise in the NBA. The Leafs are the top NHL team at just over a billion (lol, just).

The NHL's preseason schedule is out. Toronto and Buffalo will play each other in St. Thomas, Ontario for Kraft Hockeyville. Ottawa also plays a game against Florida in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The Leafs play seven more games in the way-too-long preseason. In total, play two games against each of the Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, and Detroit Red Wings.

The National Hockey League announced today the 2023-24 composite preseason schedule, a 15-day, 111-game slate played across 44 NHL and neutral-site venues in North America and Australia from Sept. 23 to Oct. 7.

A fighter for the WHL Calgary Wranglers, AHL St. Catherines Saints, and NHL Toronto Maple Leafs, Leigh Verstraete has passed away at the age of 61.

Let's be realistic, Karlsson was never going to fit on the Leafs cap. But Dubas spending some time deciding whether Karlsson is still a worthwhile player, definitely makes sense as something he would've done in Toronto. I'm excited to watch the Penguins, mostly because my partner is going to make me watch every game.
