The PWHL is preparing for expansion as early as next season. Early favourites for a team in the USA is Pittsburgh, and Calgary in Canada. With Minnesota out west, it's possible they could expand a division out there. Pittsburgh has hosted a PWHL game last season and have shown consistent interest in the past year.
The league will issue a request for proposal to explore potential locations for new teams across the US and Canada.
