Hockey's best junior talent face-off today to launch the most important tournament of the year. With the pride of their nations at stake; and their hockey careers potentially made, or broken; the highlight is an unusually early tournament meeting between Canada and the USA. This is the first time in several years these two teams have played their opening day game against each other.

TSN will have coverage of all the action. If you miss a game, they will no doubt be repeated later in the day. The NHL Network will carry all the games in the USA. Here are the game times and the Maple Leafs prospects in action. (all times are EST)

Russia @ Czech Republic
7:00AM
TSN 2

Notes: No Leafs prospects will participate in this game. If you do watch you can catch up on Capitals prospect and KHL star goaltender Ilya Samsonov, and Flyers prospect and highly rated defenceman Ivan Provorov. You will not however see the Stars off-the-board and controversial 2015 first round draft pick Denis Guryanov, as he was cut from the Russian team yesterday.

Sweden @ Switzerland
9:00AM
TSN4

Notes: Playing in this game is Maple Leafs star prospect William Nylander, and Leafs draft pick Dmytro Timashov.

Belarus @ Finland
11:00AM
TSN 2

Notes: Playing in this game is Maple Leafs prospect Kasperi Kapanen.

United States @ Canada
1:00 PM
TSN 1,3,4, and 5

Notes: This game will indeed air on every TSN station except TSN 2. TSN's pregame show will begin at 12:30 and will likely cover the results of the previous games for the day if you missed them. Playing in this game are Maple Leafs prospects Travis Dermott and 2015 first round draft pick Mitch Marner. Coaching Team USA is a familiar face, Ron Wilson.
