The Toronto Maple Leafs practice is set to go at 11 a.m. today, but Frederik Andersen was on the ice an hour early with goalie coach Steve Briere.

In other news from practice, Josh Leivo can skate too:

We will update you with all the news about Andersen, Leivo and anyone else when we have it.

UPDATE!  Dave Feschuk of the Toronto Star has a story out already quoting an unnamed source:

The Maple Leafs No. 1 goaltender took a blow to his jaw from a player in Saturday’s 5-2 loss to the Sabres, a source told the Star. The source added that Andersen has since expressed optimism he’ll be available to play as early as Tuesday’s home game against the Panthers.

Feschuk goes on to detail a previous injury, which was similar and similarly confusingly diagnosed.

The video of Andersen’s scrum today.  The audio is very poor, but he says nothing definitive.
