Patrick Marleau played in his 180th playoff game on Monday (37th all-time for games played and first among active players), and was instrumental in the Leafs defeat of the Boston Bruins. He now has 70 goals in the playoffs in his career, and is tied with Steve Yzerman who sits at 16th all time. Marleau has done it in fewer games played than Yzerman, as well.

Marleau leads all active players in the NHL for playoff goals. Sidney Crosby is second with 61 goals for 27th place, and Evgeni Malkin has 60 goals, and is in 32nd spot. (Numbers are from Quant hockey, which breaks ties by total points, so technically, Marleau is 17th.)
Marleau is lower on the points list. He’s 52nd with 122 points. He’s only one behind old pal Joe Thornton at 51st. All he needs is two more points, and he’ll be in the top 50.
Crosby leads all active players with 171 points for 19th place. Malkin, as always, is chasing him with 160 points for 24th place. Patrick Kane is currently in 50th place with 123 points.
I shouldn’t need to tell you who leads the all-time lists with 122 goals and 382 points in only 208 games, but there is no one, not Marleau, not Crosby, not the 101st best player in NHL history, Evgeni Malkin, who is catching Wayne Gretzky.
