Here is the morning’s preview, accompanied by a soundtrack:
As we all know, Travis Dermott has joined Jake Gardiner on the injured reserve on a “week-to-week” basis:
More specifically, it’ll be at least four weeks for Dermott.
Maple Leafs defenceman Travis Dermott is expected to miss at least four weeks with a shoulder injury. #LeafsForever— Leafs PR (@LeafsPR) February 28, 2019
As a result, Martin Marincin has been called up and will play next to Justin Holl on the third pair. Just for reference, Calle Rosen (foot) and Andreas Borgman (concussion) are injured for the Toronto Marlies. God forbid if the Leafs need to call anyone else up, it’ll likely be RHD Vincent LoVerde. No, it won’t be Rasmus Sandin or Timothy Liljegren.
But wait, there’s more!
Possibility Nik Petan makes his Leaf debut tonight in the event that Kasperi Kapanen sits this one out. Tyler Ennis might get the promotion while Petan takes his spot on the 4th line. Warmup in 20 minutes.#Leafsforever— Paul Hendrick (@HennyTweets) February 28, 2019
It will be fine. I don’t smell smoke. It’s fine.

Question for the thread, what’s going to be the worst thing thrown on the ice during the game tonight? I want creativity, people.
