The off-season is a time for goofy shenanigans, but it's also a time for working out. Well, all year is a time for working out - but it's more pronounced in the off-season, what with how there's basically no other athletic activity going on. At all.

So there you have it, from an NHL veteran of 12 years, so he probably knows what he's talking about. Want to improve your stride? Wide leg squats. Probably not with as much weight as Laich is using, though.
