The second round begins airing on SN, NHLN and ESPN+ at 11 am ET today. Since this draft will run through the entire afternoon, we will use this post as the combination FTB and watch post.

The draft order for the second through seventh rounds does not use the lottery order, instead using the standings and playoff results only.

Toronto's Picks

Toronto has six picks this year, one of their own, and five received in trades prior to the draft. They are:

  • Pick #60, the Buffalo second-round pick received from LA for Scott Laughton
  • Pick #69, their own third-rounder
  • Pick #85, the Flyers third-round pick received as part of the Joe Woll/Simon Benoit trade
  • Pick #116, the Ducks fourth-round pick received from Seattle for Bobby McMann
  • Pick #158, the Colorado fifth-round pick received for Nic Roy
  • Pick #169, the San Jose sixth-round pick received for Timothy Liljegren

The second round will be the slowest round, so don't expect that Leafs pick before noon. After that, well, you never know, sometimes they are very slow sometimes not.

  • The Rangers got the rights to unsigned RFA (arbitration rights) Pavel Dorofeyev from Vegas for the 26th overall last night a third rounder today and a 2028 first rounder. The Rangers signed Dorofeyev for seven years at $11 million.
