So, Diageo is not stupid, they still have a plant in Canada so they can maintain Canadian orders to places like Ontario that still ban US booze, but it is an interestingly timed move:

Many years ago, I saw a movie use Crown Royal to signify classy liquor, and I remain amazed that Americans think this is the good shit. Have you tried bourbon, guys? It's pretty good.
