Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
Yesterday Fanatics confirmed the new Hometown Remix jerseys will come out this season, and some leaks have already happened. I for one and disgusted that the Florida Panthers keep making jerseys I like.

It also appears that the Maple Leafs will be beige and boring and continue to refuse to be creative.
Now if I were to make a special third jersey collection I would go farther than retro, more interesting than a 'remix', and probably more expensive when it comes to rights.
I want a WHA throwback collection.
Now, we already have some WHA jerseys in the NHL. The Edmonton Oilers haven't changed much since their rebel league days, and the Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets*, and Colorado Avalanche throwback to to the WHA as well.
There are more though. The Toronto Toros could make a come back. What's not to like about a little red thrown into the blue & white?

We can even bring the Battle of Ontario into the mix and have the Seantors don Ottawa Nationals sweaters:

There are lots of teams to bring back and participate, with rivalry games already in place:
Edmonton Oilers vs Calgary Broncos
Chicago Cougars vs Minnesota Fighting Saints
Denver Spurs vs Michigan Stags
New York Raiders vs Jersey Knights
Even if there isn't a rivalry plenty of teams could get in on it: Philadelphia Blazers, Miami Screaming Eagles, Los Angeles Sharks (vs San Jose, double shark night!).
Embrace the past you want to erase NHL. Have standings made for WHA throwback games and award the AVCO World Trophy to the winner. You're missing out on so much easy money NHL.
Bring back the Rebel League!
While I'm talking about jerseys, here's the new Islanders third.
I think they should have gone with the wave stripes, but I also think the Mighty Ducks 'Wild Wing' jersey was fun.
You know what Morgan? I also expect big things from this very impressive and hyped new player.

Yes we have a Raddysh, but what about second Raddysh?

The Edmonton Oilers announced that they will play games in Leon Draisaitl's hometown of Cologne, Germany next year while the Boston Bruins head to Munich.

With the announcement of the NHL Global Series returning to Germany next year, they are also partnering with FC Bayern Munich to promote each others sports in their respective countries.

Finally, the Dallas Stars are on the move. They'll be leaving American Airlines Arena that they currently share with the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, and moving to the Dallas Suburb of Plano, Texas to anchor a new mega arena district project.

Hopefully everything looks better than the AI renderings that use the wrong logos, jerseys, and....yikes guys.
Enjoy your day everyone!
