The Maple Leafs bid farewell to three draft picks

Terry Wilson / CHL Images

At the stroke of 5PM yesterday three draft picks turned into pumpkins and the Maple Leafs left them in the driveway for anyone to pick up.

Stephen Desrocher, Nikita Korostelev, and Fabrice Herzog's time on the Leafs prospect chart has ended.

Next up on the list: University of Minnesota-Duluth captain and recent graduate Dominic Toninato. His rights expire on August 15th so he has another 75 days to find out his fate.

Not that the leafs are desperate for young players. I'm setting up the Top 25 Under 25 voting sheet and including the draft picks the Leafs will choose with in 2 weeks, there are 50 young players the Leafs have to work with.

50!

Here are the morning links, there aren't a lot because I'm on the bus.
