It’s Halloween folks, and you know what that means: Unsubstantiated news reports about kids being given candy with poison, knives, razor blades, or the new hot danger weed in them. It’s also time for our favourite hockey players to dress up in costumes that are either completely awful or incredibly expensive.

With that, let us take a stroll down Halloween costume lane and see what players were able to do this year and years past.

First of all, we must start with our own Carlton the Bear dressed up as Harry Potter - or, if you take away the scar, Kyle Dubas.

Though, if he were actually Kyle, he’d be giving out full size chocolate bars to everyone who asks for one.

Nazem Kadri once dressed up as Jason from Friday the 13th, like in that one movie where Jason murders the campers playoff hopes.

Mitch Marner dressed up as Dion Phaneuf, all he was missing was a Dave Feschuk article about his hat.

Let’s go way back and once again honour Bryan Rust for his “Phil Kessel’s hot dog” costume.

Ilya Mikheyev did not go as noted soup lover Andy Warhol, but someone who illegally downloads music.

Frederik Gauthier went back in time for his outfit, but really, it’s probably something he’ll wear too a game soon enough.

Gritty has been having a great Halloween, first dressing up as Wonder Gritty:

Then surprising a fan with a Gritty birthday, compete with Gritty costume for the birthday boy.

What are you dressing up as?
