FTB: Back to hockey in Toronto

The holidays are over for both the Marlies and Team Canada at the World Juniors.

Bracco is having too much fun out there.

The official start of the 2020 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship is today. While many will be watching the hockey prospects on Team Canada playing in the Czech Republic, Maple Leafs fans will keep an eye out for Rasmus Sandin playing defence on the Swedish team and quickly rising OHL star Nick Robertson playing on Team USA. The big game today will be Team Canada vs. Team USA. Here’s our full preview with game times and more information.

The Spengler Cup is also on starting today as well and there’s many names you will recognize on Team Canada.

The Marlies are also playing today in their traditional Boxing Day match against the Belleville Senators at the Scotiabank Arena. Hardev will be covering the game for you starting at 3:00 p.m. The Marlies obliteradted the Seantors 7-3 in their last game on Saturday.

The Leafs will be back in action tomorrow to play the Devils in New Jersey, and then they host the Rangers here in Toronto on Saturday. The Leafs have lost only one of their past eight games, against the Flames. Playing the Devils, I expect it to go up to nine wins in eight, but we’ll see.

We hope you had a nice break and maybe you even have another one today. Did you receive any exciting gifts? I got a Funko POP Carlton! He’s gonna hang out with my Marlies bobbleheads from this season.
