FTB: Maple Leafs inching closer to clinching

New, comments

The Leafs defeat of the Panthers Monday still hasn’t mathematically locked them into a playoff spot.

How many goals did John Tavares score in last night’s game? Four! Four goals!

The Leafs will pack up tonight and head to Philadelphia to be ready to face the Flyers tomorrow. Hopefully that win will allow them to finally clinch their playoff birth. There’s only six games left, so barring some highly improbable outcomes of all the games this week, it will happen. It’s still frustrating to see the team sitting in that division playoff spot for so many weeks, and now with the season almost over they still don’t yet have the ‘x’.
