FTB: What was Kris Versteeg’s best goal as a Maple Leaf?

Remembering the Leafs’ Versteeg era.

In honour of Kris Versteeg retiring from hockey, I looked for some of his best goals as a Maple Leaf.

The first one I liked was in a game against the Hurricanes and it came after a crazy game sequence. I don’t know who is the first guy to take a shot and get robbed by Cam Ward, never heard of him, but Versteeg cleaned it up.

How about Versteeg tying up a game against the Bruins with only 41 second left in the third period? The shot of Burke at the start of this clip is a classic too. He was so emotive up there in the box with his spit cups.

It was one hell of an era: Phil Kessel, Tyler Bozak, Dion Phaneuf, Tomas Kaberle and Kris Versteeg as the PP1 unit. Also, LOLSNES.

Good luck to Versteeg with his future endeavours, which we have heard may involve a media gig.
