Sandin is a Philadelphia Flyer as of next season, regardless of when or if the league finishes off any part of this season.

Linus Sandin that is.

My favourite Maple Leafs defence prospect’s big brother is going to Philly.

Linus was never drafted, but has played pro-hockey in the SHL for several seasons. He will go to the Flyers with some high expectations next season. He’s got some moves.

Chicago Steel jersey sighting!

It’s not the first time the Flyers have had the brother of one of the Leafs players on their team. They picked up Luke Schenn’s brother Brayden in a crazy blockbuster Paul Holmgren deal in 2011 that blew up their whole team and, in turn, led to one of the biggest trade wins for the Leafs in recent memory.

Leafs trade Luke Schenn to Flyers for James van Riemsdyk

Happiest day of my life, folks.

Maybe the Leafs can hoodwink the Flyers and pull this off again? Let them reunite the Sandins for JvR and a first? Pick up the phone, Kyle; my basement needs a tenant.

Zach Hyman has been busy writing during the NHL pause. He talks here about how and why he wrote his first children’s storybook, and his progress on a new one.

Speaking of Hyman, he’s going to be representing the Maple Leafs in the NHL’s Player Gaming Challenge which starts on April 30th.

Hey, who is that playing for the Flyers? I better get some pistachios for snacking in case some games are played in my basement.

Congratulations to Justin Brazeau as the Growlers rookie of the year.

Brazeau played one game for the Marlies this season. I expect many more next season.

TGIF, everyone. Have a good weekend.
