Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!

What a great night we had last night. While it wasn’t a defensive masterpiece, we did get to see nicest man in hockey™, Jack Campbell, make NHL history with his 11th straight win to start the season. A season filled with injuries and struggles for Maple Leafs goaltending has now been rewarded.

It’s amazing he was able to focus on the game after he spent all afternoon doing good deeds.

In less enjoyable news the Maple Leafs schedule has been tweaked to allow the postponed games against the Canucks to be played.

Leafs games impacted by the Canucks’ return and schedule:

VAN at TOR, scheduled for April 30, is now April 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET

TOR at OTT, scheduled for May 10, is now May 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET

TOR at VAN, scheduled for 10 p.m. ET on April 19, is now 9 p.m. ET

We got a 10PM moved to 9PM, which is a small ray of sunshine in the mess that made us redo the schedule in the first place.

We are now less than 38 hours from the trade deadline, and the action is starting to heat up. We saw a three way deal to move David Savard from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Tampa Bay Lightning, using the Detroit Red Wings as a third party to retain 25% of Savards Salary. A very clever trade.

Another trade made yesterday, the San Jose Sharks traded goaltender Devan Dubnyk to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for former Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Greg Patyrn and a 5th round pick.

Another Buffalo Sabre found their way out of the swamp that is the Lake Erie waterfront as Brandon Montour was traded to the Florida Panthers for a 2021 3rd round pick.
