Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!

We've heard Rumors all weekend, and after we turned off the record player we heard nothing but rumours about a William Nylander contract extensions.

Nylander contract take two
This extension on the Nylander marriage to the Maple Leafs is taking almost as long as the first one to arrange.
As the contract extension nears, how did we ever get to the (reported) ~$11.5 million AAV universe with William Nylander?
As of Saturday night, Elliotte Friedman has reported terms of $11.5 million AAV over an eight-year contract extension for William Nylander, with an announcement to arrive as early as Monday. If the reported numbers are accurate (and there is too much smoke from credible sources for it not to be close to the final number), […]
Is William Nylander Justified in Asking for $11.25 Million Contract?
The rumors are swirling that William Nylander might soon sign an $11.25 (or so) contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Is he worth that much?
Toronto Maple Leafs, William Nylander working on extension at ‘north of’ $11M AAV | TSN
As the Toronto Maple Leafs continue to work on an extension with winger William Nylander, TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports a new deal could make Nylander one of the league’s top-10 highest-paid players.

And on Hockey Night in Canada, Elliott Friedman said Monday, today, could be the day.

It would be a good time to announce it. Everyone is in a good mood following a 3-0 sweep through California. Tomorrow we play the Sharks, the team the Leafs easily beat on Saturday night, and it will get people tweeting and voting him into the All-Star Game.

Then we start the Mitch Marner contract watch. Hooray.

But until Nylander signs we must distract ourselves, so here are some links to discuss.

They set the record in Ottawa, then they broke it days later.

From hockey IQ to can’t-miss passing, PWHLers pick the skills they’d like to steal from their peers | CBC Sports
Players opted to steal a skill from one player the most, and it wasn’t close: Marie-Philip Poulin.

I would take anything. I'm not picky.

Can NHL Officials Be Fired?
Plenty of fans get frustrated with officials. We hear calls for them to be demoted, suspended, or even terminated. It’s not that easy.

Only if they're caught on mic telling the truth.
