New York Rangers @ Toronto Maple Leafs
07:30 PM at Scotiabank Arena
Watch on: SN, TVAS, MSG

The Leafs last game was away on March 24 against the Boston Bruins, which Toronto won by a score of 4-2 in regulation. The Leafs have a record of 30-29-13 for a 0.507 Points %.

The New York Rangers last played at home on March 23 against the Ottawa Senators. The Rangers lost by a score of 2-1 in regulation, and their current league record is 28-34-9 for a 0.458 Points %.

St. Louis is the fifth to last team in the standings today with a Points % of 0.493. If they continue at that points rate, they will finish with 81 points (rounding up). The Leafs have to finish with 80 points to take that spot in the standings, and they need to play at 0.350 the rest of the season to only get eight points out of the remaining 10 games. Their points pace since the Olympics is 0.333.

This is the same situation as yesterday since St. Louis also won a game. There are two teams tied with the Leafs at 0.507, the Jets and the Sharks.

Los Angeles is the third-place team contesting for the two western wild card spots. Nashville holds the second spot with a Points % of 0.542. Los Angeles has a Points % of 0.521, and to overtake Nashville's 89 points (rounded up) they need to play at 0.727 over their remaining 11 games.

LA is now three points behind Nashville, and they really need an uncharacteristic winning streak to overtake them. LA took a loser point vs Calgary, while Nashville beat San Jose last night. The Kings face the Predators twice in April, but if they win some before then, those games become a lot less crucial.

Them

They played so badly in their last game they needed a pity SOG added to their total to not break a record for futility.

Bet they don't play like that tonight.

The lines are slightly altered from last game, with no major changes or additions. I have never heard of several of these players.
