The Leafs kicked off their series against the Florida Panthers last night with a 4-2 loss. It wasn't a great outing, but the team didn't look terrible like they did in their first game against the Lightning, so I don't have that sense of dread this morning like I did back for the previous game #1. The Panthers still look eminently beatable.

The sun maybe up, but it is certainly not out here in Toronto, in fact the forecast is for rain almost the entire day.

Here's our recap of the game:

Toronto Maple Leafs lose game one to Florida Panthers
The Toronto Maple Leafs lost game one of their second round seven game series to the Florida Panthers. Former Maple Leaf Carter Verheaghe scored the game winner.

Here's the post-game comments from the Leafs and Sheldon Keefe.

The next game is tomorrow, still at 7:00 p.m..

The Toronto Marlies play Game #3 of their series against the Utica Comets tonight in Utica at 7:00 p.m.. The series left Toronto tied 1-1. It's a best-of-five series, so whoever wins tonight goes into elimination mode. It's a huge game and a win on the road for the Marlies would be huge.
