Nazem Kadri has been returned to his OHL club the London Knights as per Jonas Siegel at AM640. This is the right move for a number of reasons: Kadri needs to bulk up to dominate at the NHL level and survive the rigors of an 82 game schedule against grown men.

This means that Kadri's RFA deal doesn't kick in until next year which is a big relief to those of us with brains. Kadri will be looked on in London to lead a very good OHL club run by the Hunters which has been described by many as an NHL player factory.

This move has nothing to do with Kadri's ability to play hockey and this writer can't wait for next summer to see Kadri come back bigger and meaner. Start the campaign now: Kadri wears the C for Team Canada at the WJHC.

Christian Hanson has been returned to the Marlies along with Jonas Frogren. Frogren is a disposable piece at this point. Hanson on the other hand looks good and will probably see time with the Leafs during the season depending on how things shake out with the vets. It's good to have players like Hanson chomping at the bit to make sure vets don't think their job is secure.

At this time Tyler Bozak and Viktor Stalberg remain with the big club.
