Is Doug Melvin the oldest an most prolific EBUG ever? He hasn't played a professional game since 1993, but at 61 years old he has still suited up almost every year since then to sit on the bench as an emergency backup goalie for ECHL teams in the mid-west US.
This is incredible. Melvin may have one of my favorite @eliteprospects pages I've ever seen. Last played in a game in 1993-94, but now has 20-plus instances of 0 GP in the 30 years since. This is hilarious to watch to see MacKinnon beside Nikola Jokic. MacKinnon is listed as 6'0 and 200 pounds for reference, and he looks so tiny when they pose for the photo together.
