Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
Tonight we will once again be treated to Maple Leafs hockey as the Minnesota Wild are in town to try and start our week off wrong.
I have faith in our Maple Leafs that they will do what is needed and come through for us.
And not even the best doctors in Stockholm will prove me wrong.
It was a day for trades yesterday. First up in the PWHL, expansion Vancouver may be tossing in the towel.
TRADE ALERT - The Ottawa Charge has acquired forwards Michela Cava and Brooke McQuigge along with defender Emma Greco from the Vancouver Goldeneyes in exchange for forwards Mannon McMahon, Anna Meixner and Anna Shokhina. 📰https://bit.ly/4qTQGgW

Two Anna's! Makes me wonder how often a name is repeated in trades. I wish I had an office job still, it was much easier to look that stuff up when it was done to avoid work.
A big name moves in the NHL as the Vegas Golden Knights continue in their tradition of moving term signed fan favourites for a big name to win now.
Full trade is Rasmus Andersson with 50% retention to Vegas for Zach Whitecloud, a 2027 1st, and a 2028 2nd.
The first round pick is top 10 protected and the second round pick becomes a first if the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup with year.
Two teams getting deals done ahead of the Olympic break. Will this force the hands of other GMs, or be a one off?
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins became the first player to play 1,000 games for the Edmonton Oilers. I think he'll be an Oiler for life.
The Oilers know how to keep from spoiling the party and defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-0.
The PWHL takeover tour hit Washington DC as the Sirens and Victoire put on one heck of a show.

The game also set a new US attendance record for women's hockey, with 17,228 in attendance.
Canada was looking for a perfect tournament at the Women's U18 Championships, but the US played spoilers in the final and won 2-0.

More and more players are close to dropping out of the Olympics with injury. And the tournament hasn't even started yet.

Finally, our former friend JvR had a great goal for Detroit.
