It's that time of the year again, as the hockey season approaches as we pause to think about the rights and freedoms of the owners of the NHL's 32 teams.

With several players demanding trades or perhaps quietly agitating behind the scenes to influence their teams' actions, we take today to demand they honour those contracts of theirs to the bitter end. No matter how bitter.

We all, I'm sure, want Auston Matthews to keep his thoughts on the Leafs trashing years of his peak playing career to himself.

On to the news!

Lots of photos going around from this cottage country hockey camp:

Big grinning Cup winner centre front, with a few familiar faces dotted around. I hope they didn't do any union-type agitating while they were nose to the grindstone at their own expense.

It is now certain that Patriks Plumins with play in the Q this season. This is likely a very good move for him, since he will get to play a lot for the first time in his career.

A refresher:

2026 T25U25: Patriks Plumins is #22
The first goalie to make an appearance in our rankings is one of the new guys.

Today the T25 is at number 12, which means we start in on the top 10 before the end of the week.

That's it for now, find something to argue about!
