The World Juniors has come to another disappointing end for Team Canada. It is of course not completely over, they will play for the bronze medal against Finland, but it's now the third year in a row they have lost to Czechia, the third year they have missed out on the gold medal after beating Czechia to win it in 2023.

There's blame to go around, but it should not be overlooked that the Czechs were very good once again. They have built up quite a hockey machine there. That being said there was some really dumb penalties taken by the Canadian players, particularly in the third period, and there's lots more to analyze. I would do that here, but TSN already did it in this video, so if you want to watch the autopsy and see Gavin McKenna staring blankly into the abyss while doing a post-game interview, go to video.

And if you just want to see kids crying you can watch this.

The bronze medal game is at 4:30 p.m. ET today. The gold medal game is at 8:30.

The Leafs aren't playing again until tomorrow when they host the Panthers. There's no confirmation yet, but the Panthers are hinting it's possible that Matthew Tkachuck will be back for his first game of the season after having surgery in the summer.

The Sceptres are playing tomorrow night too at the Coliseum hosting the New York Sirens.

The Marlies had a really bad outing yesterday losing to the Phantoms 6-1. That came after winning 6-4 to the Rochester Americans on Saturday. Their next game is a Wednesday night tilt against the Cleveland Monsters. They also have a home game on Friday and then they set sail for the Boat Show road trip.
