PWHL Toronto celebrated their ninth win in a row after shutting out Montreal 3-0 at Mattamy.

Kristen Campbell stopped all 23 shots she faced, including six from Laura Stacey. Hannah Miller got the game-winning goal, while Rebecca Leslie finally scored her first goal of the season on her 27th shot. Olivia Knowles got her first PWHL point on Leslie's insurance marker.

Emma Maltais buried the empty netter in the third to seal the game after Marie-Philip Poulin chased down Sarah Nurse to push her empty net attempt just wide. Maltais' goal was technically a shorthanded jailbreak, too.

The NHL Trade Deadline was a flop. The biggest news we saw in the East was Tampa Bay getting Matt Dumba to replace the super-injured Mikhail Sergachev, and Anthony Duclair up front also on the cheap. Boston got Andrew Peeke from CBJ as a depth RD. And Florida got Kyle Okposo from Buffalo, Tarasenko from Ottawa, and goalie Magnus Hellberg from Pittsburgh.

None of these players were had for more than a third round pick, as were Toronto's acquisitions.

Among the trades of the day were the Leafs getting defensive 4C Connor Dewar.

Report: Leafs traded for Connor Dewar
Not another pick lost for all time!

In that trade for Dewar, Dmitri Ovchinnikov was traded to Minnesota, but was allowed to stay on the Marlies for the rest of the season. Ovchinnikov's team in the KHL is trying to court him back overseas and he's been a healthy scratch in that process. It definitely sounded like a player in a situation the Leafs weren't going to see in the NHL for them so they turned him into a 24-year-old, playable NHLer now.

The outfits from PWHL Toronto last night were incredible.

Lagesson is going to Anaheim.

Easton Cowan is well on his way to becoming JVR, and that makes me really happy.

Oh, and he did extend that point streak.

Moldy with a goal from Friday's prospect hockey night.

Phil, you gotta go to a bad team with lots of cap space, no one fighting for roster spots, and whose owner can't pay rent.
