Editor's note: the headline on this story may change to "Weekend FTB" depending on whether or not Brad does a thing.

Not that I'm anxious for summer to get started or anything, but man, it must be nice to be a Dallas fan to see most of the things getting done now.

The reports are that the Leafs are discussing contracts with Matt Knies and John Tavares. And that's mostly it, really.

I'm not ready to talk about Mitch Marner yet.

So the news:

No, the Leafs aren't in on this.

Actually, let's quantify that. The Leafs have one prospect in Easton Cowan. They have zero (0) first-round picks before 2028, two second-rounders in the next three years, and 14 junk picks.

The Canucks have talked about getting Rossi (pending RFA) – a player the Wild want to see listed on an Instagram post someday as one they dumped and shouldn't have.

Canucks talked trade for Minnesota Wild’s Marco Rossi
The Wild are obviously unimpressed with what the Canucks have put on the table.

This seems to dovetail with reports that the Wild have interest in pending Canucks UFA Brock Boeser. There would need to be more going tot he Wild than just Boeser's rights, but this is a neat way to end run Free Agency.

Dallas signed a host of low-level players, and are inching closer to having their offseason actually capped off with a re-signing of Jamie Benn.

If you missed it yesterday:

You say nepo-baby (and I cringe) and I say long-term AHL player:

Boston signed Sceptres player:

So, the Sceptres need forwards. Will they sign Mitch Marner?
