Just like that, it's over. The trade deadline has come and gone and the Leafs traded away three players for picks in the past 48 hours. Scott Laughton, Bobby McMann, and Nic Roy are gone, but everyone else remains and there's still 19 more games to play.

Brad Treliving addressed the media and implied more changes would come and they would depend in-part on what he sees in those 19 games. Here's his full briefing to the press including comments on trying to move Oliver Ekman-Larsson but did but the offers that did come in didn't meet his threshold to make a deal.

I found his comment that lots of calls were made by the Leafs but few were received was interesting given the volume of trades made yesterday.

So now we get to play the waiting game and the Leafs go right back to playing the Lightning tonight, the best team in the division, so it will be interesting to see how they respond on the ice. We'll have a preview of that game out later this morning.

The Marlies played the Moose last night and lost 3-2 with Dennis Hildeby in net. I'll cover more on their trip to Winnipeg after the next game tomorrow, but the Marlies remain in a playoff spot in their division and yesterday both Easton Cowan and Jacob Quillan went through the annual ritual of being loaned on paper to the Marlies for a few hours so they will be eligible to participate in the Calder Cup playoffs if the Marlies stay on course.

In the mean time, well, there's not much more to talk about what happened but we hall the individual trade posts up. The deals are done, and now we watch what happens. We will of course have some "now what?" content coming soon after all this is digested.

The only other significant NHL news is the one player who won't be coming back to the NHL for a while after the deadline is Evgeni Malkin

Enjoy your Saturday, and remember we flip to daylight saving time overnight tonight so there will be that one clock like the one on the microwave that you never bother to fix and it will now either be correct or incorrect again.
