Yesterday, Team Canada Men beat Switzerland 5-1, and unfortunately Kevin Fiala was hurt in the game, and had to be stretchered off. It looked like a leg injury of some reasonably serious kind.

Denis Malgin was the best non-NHLer skater Switzerland had.

Canada plays France tomorrow at 10:30 am to close out their preliminary round.

Sweden let Finland tie them in knots and lost 4-1 so that group is wide open. Sweden plays Slovakia today at 6 am, and they would be advised to win this one.

USA plays Denmark at 3 pm.

Tomorrow is the last day for preliminary games, so we'll have the order of the 12 teams and the playoff pairs to determine the quarterfinals by tomorrow evening.

The first two women's quarterfinals were played yesterday, with Sweden upsetting Czechia to take a semifinal spot. USA beat Italy easily. Canada plays Germany today at 10:30 am and Finland plays Switzerland at 3 pm.

The semifinals are on Monday.
