Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!

It was one of those weird Saturdays with no Leafs game, but no worries because the Leafs' top prospect provided plenty of excitement.

Despite going 0/3 on the powerplay and getting outshot by their opponents, the London Knights won big over the Oshawa Generals in game two of the OHL finals with a 5-2 victory.

Easton Cowan scored twice, the opening goal and an empty net, and assisted on the other three goals. Those five points tied him with Robbie Schremp for the Knights playoff points record at 89 – 20 points more than Mitch Marner. Cowan is second in OHL playoff scoring this year with 32 points, one behind Oshawa's Luca Marrelli.

He will undoubtedly break the record tomorrow night as the two face off to break the series tie.

Speaking of playoff series – oh, what a smooth segue – it's game day for our beloved Toronto Sceptres, and they're in Minnesota for game three of their first round series against the Minnesota Frost. Their series is tied and there is a little extra intrigue as Frost player Britta Curl-Salemme is returning from a suspension for an illegal head check on Renata Fast in game one.

With this series also tied, it's a big night for the Sceptres. Game time is 6 PM Toronto time, you can watch on Amazon Prime in Canada, and the PWHL YouTube page outside Canada.

Now in the NHL playoffs the Carolina Hurricanes shutout the Washington Capitals to take a 2-1 series lead.

Out west, the Golden Knights' Rielly Smith scored with less than a second remaining in the game to get Vegas a game three win over the Edmonton Oilers, and cutting the Oilers lead in the series in half to 2-1.

The Vegas Golden Knights picked up an incredible 4-3 Game 3 win over the Edmonton Oilers Saturday night, winning on a goal from Reilly Smith with less than a second remaining.

Outside the playoffs, the Anaheim Ducks let go their assistant coaches, giving new head coach Joel Quennville a clean slate on his staff.

Finally, the Leafs play game four tonight in Florida. We'll most likely see Matt Murray on the bench again as Anthony Stolarz is still shaking off the effects of his head hit in game one.

I'm not too worried about the Leafs. It took the Panthers three games plus overtime to get a win over Toronto, and they only got to overtime because of some lucky bounces and mistakes on the Leafs end.

The preview is coming later, game time is 7:30PM.

Go Leafs Go!
