The new Toronto Maple Leafs season - the very same one that finally kicks off tonight - is finally set to get underway. It’s a season of hope; unlike last year, Auston Matthews is here, is the thing.
And so are Mitch Marner, William Nylander, Frederik Andersen, even Morgan Rielly and Mike Babcock... There’s a lot to look forward to, is the point, and there are a lot of fun nights ahead.
The Leafs don’t actually open at home until this Saturday, Oct. 15. And that’s when these beauties get to really kick in.
Linked is the 2016-17 Leafs season ticket package, in all of its glory. It’s definitely one of those things to keep ahold of, even if you aren’t someone who saves their ticket stubs; look at it.
A lot of effort must have went into making these centennial tickets as good as they possibly could be, and it all paid off. Not only do the tickets showcase the history of the team, but there are actually individual pieces used throughout. It’s easy to use a picture of a player as the focus on a ticket; it’s another level entirely to create new art with gorgeous blends of typography and illustration alongside it.
Seriously, looking at these just makes printed tickets all the more depressing. Major props to the Leafs for these ones. Hopefully they’re all loved.
