Day one of the World Juniors is in the bag, and as expected Canada walked all over Denmark. I’m not sure anyone expected 14-0, but there you go. Flyers prospect Morgan Frost, son of Leafs former in-arena announcer Andy Frost, put up five points, including three goals, and was named Canada’s Player of the Game.

Canada and Czechia are currently tied atop the Group A standings, with USA and Sweden at the top of Group B.

Canada goes up against Switzerland at 7:30 pm Eastern tonight when Leafs prospect Ian Scott will start in net. DiPietro had an assist yesterday so if Scott wants to beat him out for starter, he’s gonna have to score a goal. Meanwhile at 6:30 pm  Rasmus Sandin, Pontus Holmberg and Team Sweden take on Slovakia, who held the fort and even had the lead for a while against the Americans yesterday.

However, all this hockey watching has exposed me to a wonderful series of commercials by Chevrolet. I do not endorse this whole allowing Alexa access to your car bullshit because I am a sci-fi fan and I know how this ends, but it gave us four fun commercials:
