The Toronto Maple Leafs have two more pre-season games to play before the season opener on Wednesday night against the Ottawa Senators.

Tonight it’s the final battle for the open spots as a roster filled with tweeners and Marlies takes on the Red Wings in Detroit:

Tomorrow the Red Wings come to Toronto in what should be a game with the two teams final rosters. Then we wait four long days until 7PM on Wednesday when the season officially begins.

Until then we have lots of time to argue about who’s going to be the fourth line, will Timashov make the team, will Gauthier and Spezza be the biggest surprise of the season. Lots of things to get us going. For now though, I have these links for you.

First off, let’s get this out of the way.

I didn’t watch the game, so I don’t know what led to this happening, but we’ll learn more today - but if he’s suspended we probably won’t know until Monday. The OHL is rather slow at announcing suspensions.
