Did you watch last night’s game? If not, skip to the Marlies section.
The Maple Leafs were obliterated by the Lightning, losing 7-3 in a game where they simply got worse and worse as it went on. Here’s our autopsy report:
Game Five Recap: Toronto Maple Leafs lose bad to Tampa Bay Lightning 7-3
Are you worried about the Leafs? Morgan Rielly is not worried. Which is odd since he’s been awful.
Morgan Rielly said #Leafs aren't "overly worried" about three straight losses, but "it's not what we want. We're not happy. That's not what we plan on doing moving forward. You also have to be aware that it's early, but we have to be much better than we were tonight"— Kristen Shilton (@kristen_shilton) October 11, 2019
Rielly and the Leafs don’t have much time to react before their next game. It’s tomorrow in Detroit against the Red Wings.
At least all of the Canadiens, Bruins and Senators lost last night too.
The Marlies are in Winnipeg to kick-off a back-to-back series against the Manitoba Moose this weekend. Game time tonight is 8:00 p.m. EST. They started their season last weekend with a 4-1 win over the Senators. Jeremy Bracco picked up three points in that game. Will he keep up that pace?
Why couldn’t the Leafs get this version of the Blues on Monday?
