In an announcement today, the AHL has suspended Dan Kelly of the Albany Devils for 10 games.

Kelly will miss Albany’s next 10 games, beginning with Game 5 of the North Division Finals vs. Toronto tonight (May 12). If Albany is eliminated before the suspension can be served to completion this postseason, remaining games would carry over to the next time Kelly is active on an AHL club roster.A search of the AHL suspension announcements for this season revealed that there have been a lot of players suspended for illegal checks to the head, but only one for more than 10 games. Dan Kelly is a repeat offender, and no team does it more than the Albany Devils.

So when will the AHL start suspending coaches or managers? Because, so far, the Devils aren't learning the lesson.

Edited to add: I had a mistake on the original chart, with that correction, Albany is still the worst team. Just not much worse than Hershey.

This list is as accurate as I could make it, any errors or omissions are mine.
