Today the AHL announced the rosters for the 2018 All-Star Game being held in Utica, New York.

Two Toronto Marlies will be playing in the game: Kasperi Kapanen and Travis Dermott will represent Toronto for the North Division. Kapanen has been having a good season for the Marlies, scoring 15 points (9G, 6A) in 20 games. This is Kapanens first AHL All-Star Game. Travis Dermott is the star on defense for the Marlies, and has scored 17 points (2G, 15A) in 26 games. This is Dermott’s first AHL All-Star Game. Dermott and Kapanen are often the Marlies most desired to be on the Maple Leafs right now. Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe will also be participating in the All Star Game as coach of the North Division in his first AHL All-Star appearance.

A few former Marlies and Maple Leafs will also be participating in the game. TJ Brennan will be playing for the Atlantic Division, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms representative. Antoine Bibeau is in goal for the Pacific Division, playing this season for the San Jose Barracuda and former Maple Leafs defender Mike van Ryn will be the Pacific division coach, as his Tuscon Roadrunners ended the first half of the season at the top of the Pacific.
