The Maple Leafs have signed Brett Seney to a one-year, two-way contract for $750,000 in NHL salary. The also confirmed the Mike Amadio deal is the same.

Seney is 25, a left-shooting winger/centre who was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 2015 in the sixth round. He is listed at 5’9” and 174 lb.

He is an NCAA graduate and has played in the AHL and the NHL since 2018. A former teammate of the Leafs’ Joey Anderson, they both moved up and down between the NHL and AHL as New Jersey tried to rebuild. Seney led the Binghamton Devils in points in 2019-2020.

We should likely expect both Amadio and Seney to be members of the Marlies most of the time.
