Qualifying offers, or more importantly who didn't recieve them, were anounced yesterday. Here are the players the Leafs lost their signing rights to.
The Maple Leafs have extended qualifying offers to D Emil Andrae, F Jacob Quillan, F Nicholas Robertson, F Ryan Tverberg and D William Villeneuve.

Qualified:
Nicholas Robertson (ARB)
Emil Andrae (ARB)
Jacob Quillan (ARB)
William Villeneuve (ARB)
Ryan Tverberg (ARB)
The Leafs importantly retain the rights to Nick Robertson, who will likely go to arbitration again. I think there's a very good chance his rights are traded for another RFA to a team that might want to keep Robertson for more than one year at a time. Emil Andrae will likely make it 8 signed Leafs defenders from Raddysh down to Myers. Quillan joins Bo Groulx as premier Marlies who are looking to win a job at training camp. Villeneuve and Tverberg are also being kept around.
Non-qualified:
Matias Maccelli (ARB)
Henry Thrun (ARB)
John Prokop (ARB)
Semyon Der-Arguchintsev
Roni Hirvonen
Topi Niemela
Vyacheslav Peksa
Braeden Kressler
The Leafs might still sign Matias Maccelli as a UFA on/after July 1st, all they did today was not offer him a contract with a modest raise. They could sign him for less, or someone else can sign him entirely. I would be surprised if Maccelli didn't get a contract somewhere.
Marlies defender Henry Thrun also got non-qualified, but in scenarios like these he could come back at a different number or sign with the Marlies on an AHL contract.
The Leafs are also saying goodbye to the signing rights for SDA, Topi Niemelä, Vyacheslav Peksa, and Brayden Kressler. Niemelä left the Marlies last year after two seasons of showing pretty clearly he didn't have it. Kressler was in the ECHL for a while and never stuck with the Marlies. And SDA has been having a good career back home but there are rumours he might try an NHL return. This move makes him a UFA so we'll see if he gets a surprise contract!
Not many of the non-QO'd names jump out to me. Maybe Bobby Brink, maybe Jonatan Berggren. Both of those players were traded last year and would need some pro scouting insight to determine if they're worth signing. A big reason a lot of these players don't get qualified is because teams don't want to be locked into the contracts that get decided in arbitration. It is definitely the case for Maccelli and I'm sure a consideration going into qualifying Robertson.
Moving on from qualifying offers, the Panthers acquired a goalie, Akira Schmid. Once he gets signed he will be the only NHL goalie on their roster. Pierre Lebrun points out there is still every possibility Bobrovsky still gets re-signed.
We have acquired goaltender Akira Schmid from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for our third-round selection in the 2028 NHL Draft.

The Penguins and Jets traded some AHLers back and forth, a classic "hockey trade" a forward for a defender.
The Penguins have acquired forward David Gustafsson from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for defenseman Jack St. Ivany.

That was it on trades yesterday. The Leafs also announced their Development Camp roster. It's crowded with more than half of them as camp invites. A few people asked in the comments where Ben Danford was and the simple answer is that he needs a rest after a very long and adventurous season for him.
Compared to the Leafs 53-player development camp, the Oilers only have 27 players coming to theirs. However, this includes three women out of the NCAA. Abbey Murphy (24, USA, F), Chloe Primerano (19, CAN, D), and Caitlin Kraemer (20, CAN, F).
Abbey Murphy may ring some bells as she was drafted 2nd overall by the Seattle Torrent in the PWHL draft this month. Primerano is an up-and-coming star defender for Team Canada who jumped from the U-18 team to the national team last season. Kraemer led the U-18 team two seasons ago and is the best player on Minnesota-Duluth, so expect her to be a high pick in the PWHL in a couple seasons. In the meantime, they're all going to an NHL development camp.
I'm surprised more stuff didn't happen yesterday, but I guess teams were busy with draft hangovers, getting dev camp lists out, and organizing qualifying offers. Wednesday afternoon should be fun, let's see how today tees it up!
