Last night the Leafs did not play a strong game against the Flames, and Sergei Bobrovsky was not good. In worse news, Kirill Marchenko left the game after this:

He did try to play after, but nope, down the tunnel he went. He did not return to the game.

The Leafs were collectively awful at five-on-five for two periods, but their power play was excellent, as was Devin Cooley, unfortunately.

Bright sparks in the first two were mostly supplied by Easton Cowan who was put on a line with Gavin McKenna and Colton Sissons after Marchenko left.

Youth gives and takes:

The Leafs managed to not repeat their 30% Corsi at five-on-five in the third and added one goal, but that's as good as it got.

What else happened? Both goalies took penalties, there were many power plays – mostly for the Flames, some considerable four-on-four, no structure, terrible zone exits, and an two ENGs with Bobrovsky pulled.

Final score was 5-2 Flames.
