The picture above is the Bosco Verticale, an iconic pair of buildings drenched in plant life in the city of Milan.

Imagine Toronto condo towers like this (imagine some clever use of plants that stay green in winter). We could have the Holly Towers. Dare to dream, Toronto developers.

Today's Team Canada Women's game is the big one of the preliminary round. They face the USA at 2 pm ET.

Yesterday Canada beat Czechia 5-1 and USA beat Switzerland 5-0. Canada's captain, Marie-Philip Poulin left the game after a hit along the boards. There had not been a decision on her ability to play in today's game last night. The game was a festival of physical foul penalties, though, which is getting tiresome.

This is a very interesting development in the slow-motion demise of what used to be Fox Sports. Sometimes anti-monopoly rules give you results that aren't intended. When 20th Century Fox was sold to Disney, the regulators demanded that the regional Fox Sports channels be sold to some other party. What then happened was a series of bad business decisions to highly leverage a not terribly successful group of TV channels that ran headfirst into Covid and higher interest rates. Since then various owners have purchased various bits of the group of stations and have then gone under and/or sold out before they did.

The latest round of troubles has seen some NHL teams lose their regional broadcaster. MLB's irritated response to this problem was to seek a way to stream their games themselves. And now they are partnering with a former Fox Sports NHL team.

They call this "first of its kind" but I don't think it's dramatically different to what the Capitals are doing though MSE.

The "I find fault with everything" crowd on social media is mad online about the picture below because they aren't all wearing official gear. Instead they look like people. People who have their jeans custom tailored, but still people. Maybe finding fault with everything isn't all that much fun?

And that's it for today, don't forget today's Olympic hockey starts at 2 pm.
