The Leafs lost 3-2 to the Sens in their second preseason game. The result didn't matter, so here is what the players and head coach Craig Berube had to say about their performances.
Here's some more of it in written form.

And what Berube was saying about the players before the game.

It's just one game, but here's a chart:

Yesterday the Leafs sent back Owen Conrad who was on a PTO back to his junior team. There was the potential for him to get an ELC from the Leafs in his D+1 year if it happened before he was returned to his junior team. The question can be asked whether it was worth it to just draft him instead of Matthew Hlacar who was sent back late last weekend, but some questions aren't important enough to be answered.
The @MapleLeafs have returned D Owen Conrad to the Charlottetown islanders (QMJHL).

Joseph Woll has taken a leave of absence due to a personal family matter. Hope all is well.

Max Domi has also stepped away for a personal matter, and we have some minor injuries for Simon Benoit and Nic Roy, though Roy was skating regularly yesterday.
"I don't believe it's serious, but he's still not available to be on the ice yet, so just go to see how it goes."

Maple Leafs update the playing status of several players, including Simon Benoit, Nicolas Roy, and Max Domi. 🔗⤵️https://t.co/D2BNjjKUwb
Jake McCabe briefly talked about Henry Thrun and his impression of his teammate.

And as of yesterday, here are the Leafs lines that I'm seeing:
Matthew Knies - Auston Matthews - Matias Maccelli
Bobby McMann - John Tavares - William Nylander
Dakota Joshua - Nicolas Roy - Calle Järnkrok
Steven Lorentz - Scott Laughton - Easton Cowan
Jake McCabe - Chris Tanev
Morgan Rielly - Brandon Carlo
Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Ben Danford
Anthony Stolarz
Dennis Hildeby
Out: Domi, Benoit, Woll
Scratched: Kämpf, Robertson, Haymes, Thrun, Myers
I think I've excluded anyone without a realistic chance of making the team, and I'm being optimistic about including Danford, Cowan, and Haymes.
All four of the Lefs 6D options (Benoit, Thrun, Myers, Mermis) would need to be out-played by the teenager and go on waivers for Danford to get a real shot. Maybe it happens, but only if Danford is a significant enough value add.
I'm also not sure the benefit of Cowan playing like a fourth liner agitant. He has more upside than that and I don't want him cutting off parts of his development to make the lineup now. Maybe that's not how it works, but I don't know and until I understand better it's a concern I have.
Haymes has passed Quillan as the next Marlie up after Cowan and might have some upside as a bottom six C.
Robertson cemented his case to not be in this lineup even more after last game. He was disconnected from the system and didn't help get the puck to dangerous areas offensively.
The Leafs also don't seem to have an idea for Kämpf. He's been skating with the Marlies so something needs to happen.
