SBN Kings Coverage: Battle of California/Jewels From The Crown

Matchup

The Leafs embark on the second half of their Southern California back-to-back today, as they head into LA to play the Kings. The Kings are the only team in the Pacific Division that isn't wildly sucking; in spite of this, the Leafs romped them en route to a 5-0 win in their last meeting on Dec. 12 in Toronto. Jonathan Bernier shut down his former team so seamlessly that you would think he worked for law enforcement.

Most notable about the Kings is that they have exactly the same roster as they did in that game. Yep. No substantial changes or crazy trades or anything like that. It is noon on Wednesday as I write this, and I can quite confidently finish typing this sentence knowing that the Kings roster will be as it is right now and nothing crazy is going to happen before Thursday's game.

Probable Leafs Lineup

Doubtful the Leafs make any changes after a 4-0 thrashing of the Ducks last night. The Leafs, however, have confirmed that James Reimer has returned from groin injury and will get the start tonight.

Grabner - Kadri - Komarov

van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Parenteau

Winnik - Arcobello - Lupul

Matthias - Holland - Boyes

Gardiner - Phaneuf

Hunwick - Rielly

Marincin - Polak

Probable Kings Lineup

Per Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider, Luke Schenn and Vincent Lecavalier will not be making their Kings debuts tonight. Both still have yet to land in Los Angeles or take a team physical. The Kings lines at morning skate:

Milan Lucic - Anze Kopitar - Tyler Toffoli

Tanner Pearson - Jeff Carter - Marian Gaborik

Dwight King - Trevor Lewis - Dustin Brown

Andy Andreoff - Nick Shore - Jordan Nolan

Brayden McNabb - Drew Doughty

Jake Muzzin - Alec Martinez

Jamie McBain - Christian Ehrhoff

Jonathan Quick

Prediction

Andy Andreoff is a made up name that actually turns out to be three kids in a trenchcoat.
