Toronto Maple Leafs cut 23 players from training camp

Nine go back to junior, 14 will go to Marlies camp

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced their first cuts from training camp today, moving forward with 53 players out of the original 80 (80? geez..).

The below players will return to their CHL teams:

Maple Leafs training camp continues this week, with the next preseason game happening on Thursday September 29, versus the Buffalo Sabres. The game will be played at the Meridan Centre in St. Catharines, ON due to the World Cup of Hockey finals game 2 happening at the Air Canada Centre.
