GDT: The Leafs head to Washington to slay a dragon

The first really tough test for the Leafs is the cup-drunk Capitals.

Game on! So they won the cup. Do they have John Tavares? No, they do not. They don’t have Auston Matthews or MOrrgan Rielly (credit and a $5 royalty to loserpoints for every usage of this joke).

The Leafs have a lot to prove, and the Caps, well, to be honest, they probably want to wash the taste of getting stoned by the Devils 6-0 out of their mouths. I suggest a lot of bear out of a silver cup.

The game is on at 7 PM. While you wait, check out the recap of the Marlies encountering life without Andreas Johnsson and Ben Smith which will be up soon.

Johnny is in for the Leafs tonight, while Tyler Ennis gets to watch, and Igor Ozhiganov comes in for Martin Mar-Pinch-in (blame and $5 fine to Fulemin for that joke).

The CWHL opens their regular season tonight, so spare a moment to with the Furies and the Thunder well.

Who do you want to see get the hat trick tonight?
