GDT: Maple Leafs host the Canadiens

New, comments

The Marlies hosted the Senators earlier. We’re just having everyone over, whether we like them or not.

It’s Michael Hutchinson’s night. Let’s hope it’s a good one.

The lines for tonight are here:

And the game starts at 7 p.m., the first HNIC game of the season. You can find it streamed for free already paid for by all of us on CBC Gem, geoblocked to Canada.

Meanwhile the Marlies opened their season at home to the Belleville Senators, and this is the first Marlies goal of the year:

At time of writing they were up 2-0 in the first intermission on this plus another power play goal by Timothy Liljegren.

Settle in now, though, and get ready to watch the tired Leafs play their first back half of a travel back-to-back. What could possibly go wrong?

Until then, if the hockey gods said the Leafs had to take one Habs player, who would you want?
