Sunday’s FTB: Don’t throw your stick around like Kasperi Kapanen

Seriously, Kappy, why?

The first loss is definitely not as bad as the last loss, but it’s still pretty bad. Hopefully this season there won’t be a last loss.

Moving on.

Leafs Branches

The Maple Leafs lost to the Canadiens last night. Ugh, it sucked. Ugh, Kapanen, why.

This is just my personal take, but as someone who makes millions of dollars for their job, Kapanen should probably know the rules.

Earlier in the day, Katya wrote up a prospect report on all the junior and european players.

The Toronto Marlies won their season opener at home by a score of 4-1. Egor Korshkov, Timothy Liljegren, and Jordan Schmaltz all scored in the game and Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 30 of 31 for the win. We’ll have a recap of the game from Species sometime today.

Earlier in the day yesterday, Marlies GM Laurence Gilman spoke to the media. Gilman spoke about roster construction, the three-tier prospect system, and an update on Ian Scott’s injury. He’s going to be a pro this season in the ECHL as the starter.

Speaking of Leafs prospects, check out what’s happening with this former one.

We miss you, Jake Gardiner! We really could’ve used you in overtime.
