The Newfoundland Growlers are in the ECHL playoffs for the first time in team history! Okay, this is their first season of operations, but it’s great news for them and the Maple Leafs prospects playing in the ECHL this season, AND it’s good news for anyone in the GTA!

The Growlers first round playoff opponent is the ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, the Brampton Beast. This is your last chance to see 2018 draft pick Semyon Der-Arguchintsev play live this season, unless you’re willing to travel far from home.

Round one schedule:

Game 1 – Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. NT at Newfoundland
Game 2 – Saturday, April 13 at 7 p.m. NT at Newfoundland
Game 3 – Tuesday, April 16 at 7:15 p.m. ET at Brampton
Game 4 – Thursday, April 18 at 7:15 p.m. ET at Brampton

Game 6 – Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. NT at Newfoundland (If Necessary)
